You want to create? Let's go.

A hacker is any individual with creative technology skills. We empower hackers to create social change that benefits disadvantaged people, the broader community, and the environment. Our initial cohort will be accepting Los Angeles applicants who are between the ages of 18 and 24 and who identify as BIPOC or women.

Creative Employment

This track is designed for fellows who are seeking full-time employment in any S.T.E.A.M. career, including but not limited to product design, virtual & augmented reality engineering, game development, and UI/UX at a creative technology company, such as Snap or Google. Fellows will master interview skills and will produce a portfolio of projects to present at Demo Day.

Creative Professional

This track is designed for fellows who are interested in starting their own organization/business or treat themselves as such because they are self-employed. Fellows in this track will learn the basics of social entrepreneurship and will present their new organization's pitch deck at Demo Day. They will be able to seek funding via fiscal sponsorship with Hacker Fund.

About Us

Modern PT is a privately owned and operated outpatient clinic dedicated to reducing and eliminating patients' pain. Our goal is to make ourselves obsolete. We provide you with a tailored PT strategy to get you back in the game, so you won't need us anymore. But we also work to create a fun space with unique full-body treatments so you'll want to keep coming back to continuously enhance your structure and movement.

Meet the Modern PT experts below!

person

Lynn Davis

Founder and President, DPT

The founder of Modern PT, Lynn is dedicated to the wellness of each and every person who walks through the door. Lynn opened this center 10 years ago to be a caring, communicative haven for people of all ages to address their pain. When Lynn isn't using her magic touch to ease pain and increase range of motion, she's attending classes and conferences to implement the most innovative practices and technologies to address her patients' needs.

person

Carl Young

Founder and President, MSPT

Carl entered the PT world after he blew out his ACL in a basketball game. He kept looking for the right physical therapist to get him through his injury, but no one gave him the attention and care he needed. So he went back to school to study physical therapy, so he could become that missing link for injured athletes. His PT goal is to not just to reduce your pain but to get you back in the game quickly and healthfully.
