This in-person fundraiser will bring together 200 people from our community in celebration of our work. We're raising funds to expand our mentor chapters in the 50 states that we serve so that we can build more hackerspacers and host more hackathons.

VIP guests will have the opportunity to meet the mentors and stakeholders that drive our organization forward during this exclusive cocktail party featuring an open bar. You must be a Mentor or VIP Guest to attend.
All guests will hear about the impact of hackathons and the outcomes of our mentorship program from Hackathon OGs and school administrators whose districts we have supported.
We will be auctioning off hackathon relics and other sponsored contributions. Details will be provided to guests prior to the event.
Our team will be providing awards to members of our community during this ceremony and will showcase our impact over the years. Guests will be treated to catered dinner.
Bring your dancing shoes because the entertainers in the lineup are ready to turn it up! We will have an open bar available thanks to our sponsors.
CodeDay LA
Gemma is a mixed reality education specialist who founded HackEDU (which later became Hack Club). She is a Thiel Fellow & received the Forbes 30 under 30 Award for her work as CEO of Discovr Labs, a development studio that creates training experiences using immersive tech. As Education Programs and XR Specialist at Unity, she built the developer evangelism program that scaled globally. She advises Hacker Fund on mixed reality curriculum development and lab design.
Cal Hacks
Eva is a community-builder who cofounded Cal Hacks and Project Humanize. Today, she continues to empower communities at Notion. She is passionate about teaching empathy to foster better listeners, advisors, and humans. Her framework for mentorship is the basis for the Hacker Fund volunteer experience. As the "Hacker Fund elephant", she has led the training of mentors and has MCed hackathons with 1000+ attendees throughout the United States.
Compton Unified School District
Alvaro taught high school social sciences for 5 years before he received his MS in Educational Technology from Cal State University Fullerton. This degree fueled his passion for integrating educational technology to ignite innovation, Esports, Robotics, STEAM education and project-based learning in the classroom. This degree opened the door to serve in his current role as a 21st Century Learning Specialist at Compton Unified School District. Currently, he is culminating his final advanced degree as he is a doctorate student achieving his EdD in Educational Technology.
